What we offer for your Home Heating needs
We offer four different products to meet all your heating needs.
We offer kerosene and our premium Ecoheat Kerosene. These products make up approximately 98% of all fuels supplied to the domestic heating market.
The balance are heating systems running on SF Gas Oil (heating diesel). For these customers we also offer two products, standard SF Gas Oil and our premium product Ecoheat Gas Oil.

Ecoheat Kerosene is a premium heating oil product from Curran Oil that helps keep your oil-fired boiler and fuel storage tank clean, increasing the reliability, performance, efficiency and lifespan of your heating system.
ECOHEAT premium heating oil uses our domestic heating oil as a base fuel and is enhanced by additives that:

Home Heating FAQ
Delivery
Providing we can gain access to the tank you don’t need to be at home when we deliver. All our deliveries are metered and you will receive a printed delivery docket, so you know exactly how much home heating oil was delivered. These meters are regularly audited by the National Standards Authority of Ireland.
Our driver will leave you a printed delivery docket from the tanks meter which will show exactly how much oil was delivered.
Most of our trucks have a 120ft (40m) hose. This is ample for most delivery scenarios.
If you think you may run out of oil before we deliver to you, please contact us on 0818 27 99 00 and we will do our best to ensure your oil is delivered before you run out.
If you’ve paid for an order of a higher value than the amount of fuel that we delivered, we will credit your account with the difference, based on the price you paid for your fuel on the day of delivery. If you have a query with your order, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Ordering
Yes, you can cancel your order but please inform us as soon as possible. Provided you notify us at least two working days before the final scheduled delivery date, we will cancel your order and refund your payment card. If you need to change your order, please contact us as soon as possible and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.
When you order at Curranoil.com you can pay for your home heating oil immediately through our secure online payment facility using your Laser, Visa or Mastercard.
The details we store are the minimum required to complete orders as safely and efficiently as possible. All optional personal information is used to provide you with an enhanced service that will make the oil buying process easier and more cost-effective. Your details are secure and we’ll never pass on your details to any third parties – you are much too valuable to us.
There are 4.546 litres to an imperial gallon.
The minimum amount you can order is 300 litres. Most customers order between 1,000-1,500 litres. The larger the volume we deliver, the lower the cent per litre price. If you are not sure how much you need to order, please read your tank instructions. If you order more than you need we will credit your account with the difference. If you are still not sure please contact us.
There are two main ways to save money on your order: By ordering larger quantities you will get a better cent per litre rate.
All domestic customers pay 13.5% VAT on home heating oil, regardless of quantity.

Yes, we stock a complete range of oil storage tanks.
Kerosene, also known as 28 second oil, is produced after the distillation process of crude oil. Most domestic systems run on Kerosene because it provides a cleaner and more efficient burn for your home. Gas Oil (green diesel), also known as 35 second oil, is more commonly used in agriculture and industry. Gas Oil is less combustible than Kerosene and has more carbon atoms.
TIPS
Have your boiler serviced at least once a year:
Boilers are not 100% efficient – around 20% of the heat generated is lost up the chimney.
Heat loss can increase to 30% or more if the boiler is poorly maintained.
Regularly check your heating system for leaks:
Water or oil leaks prevent your system from working efficiently.
Check for signs of leakage from your tank, pipework, valves, flanges and boiler.
Avoid ordering small deliveries of Home Heating Oil:
Curran Oil can offer you better discounts on larger deliveries.
Always order the optimum quantity for the capacity of your tank.
Fill up your oil tank during the summer months:
Take advantage of the seasonal variations in Home Heating Oil prices by filling up your tank when the market price is most likely to be at its lowest.
Never run out of Home Heating Oil:
Apart from the discomfort and inconvenience, some oil will be wasted if your system needs to be bled in order to restart it.
It will also cost more to heat your home to the required temperature again.
Do not overheat your home:
The recommended temperature for your home is 18 degrees centigrade (21 degrees for homes with elderly persons or young children).
Your heating costs will rise by about 8% for each 1 degree Centigrade of overheating.
Keep radiators free from obstructions:
Having radiators obstructed by furniture etc. will reduce their output and lead to poor performance.
Avoid opening windows and doors when the heating is on.
Money is wasted each time heat is lost through an open window or door. Increase your comfort by turning the heating down instead.
